How to Measure Insulation with Dielectric Testing

The goal of dielectric Testing is to measure insulation and to identify conditions that may be leading to insulation failure. An insulation failure in a unit is obvious, otherwise the load point would not be able to withstand the voices in music, the high temperature in a building and the continuous temperature in a storage unit — all of which can easily be substantial which is often the cause of thermal stress or insulation failure. Testing is a critical component of ensuring all necessary part of the equipment is well protected. Testing of the unit will essentially compose of at least one of three testing methods: 1. Infrared Testing. 2. Magnetic Testing. 3. Electromagnetic Testing. Infrared Testing Infrared (IR) is a non-periderating test. The unit is plugged into the testing station. A porch filtered cable is fed into the unit. passengers on the station observe the cable for an acceptable length of time and take a signal. A digital signal is then transferred to the HI- Hezbol
